In the eighties, Levine devoted his time to various credits, such as "Simon Boccanegra" (PBS, 1984-85), "Gala of Stars 1986" (PBS, 1985-86) and "L' Italiana in Algeri" (PBS, 1985-86). He also worked on "Pavarotti Plus!" (PBS, 1985-86). Levine continued to exercise his talent in the nineties and the early 2000s, taking on a mix of projects like "The Metropolitan Opera Silver Anniversary" (PBS, 1991-92), "L' Elisir d'Amore" (PBS, 1992-93) and "The Ghosts of Versailles" (PBS, 1992-93). His credits also expanded to "Fantasia 2000" (2000) starring Steve Martin. Most recently, Levine appeared on "Wagner's Dream" (2012). James Levine died on March 9, 2021 in Palm Springs, CA at the age of 77.
