This Disney movie was pretty good. Bruce Willis, Spencer Breslin, Emily Mortimer, Lily Tomlin, Jean Smart, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. The story of the movie was entertaining and dramatic. It's about meeting yourself younger self and discovering who you were then to become better than you are now. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching. Don't listen to the bad reviews this movie has gotten, those people have terrible tastes in movies.

One of the more underrated films in Bruce Willis's filmography, The Kid is flawed and a bit cheesy at times but Willis's performance, Spencer Breslin doing a convincing job playing his younger self, Jon Turteltaub's direction and an emotionally-moving climax more than compensate. Not bad for the third in a series of contractual obligation projects Willis did for Disney after the role he played in a planned movie's cancellation.

While many critics found it saccharine and simplistic, the truth is that it's the sort of film Capra would appreciate and families can watch without worrying about age appropriateness. Willis does a solid (if predictably snarky) job of playing Russ Duritz, a successful image consultant whose overdue self-examination arrives in the form of a mysterious, eight year old boy. With this intrusion comes the chance to revisit and, just maybe, rewrite the squandered narrative of his life. Emily Mortimer is engaging as the hopeful, potential love interest who both glimpses and embodies the possibilities Russ has overlooked. Worth a watch.
