Synopsis
Different cities around the United States have different cultural and creative communities. In "American Canvas," host Dave Holmes visits select cities across the country to explore the artistic and cultural riches each has to offer. He visits with local artists, tastes homegrown foods and immerses himself in the local culture and traditions while he's in each location. Along the way, Holmes experiences the tastes and smells of America's oldest Chinatown in San Francisco, checks out the country's biggest modern-art show in Miami, and goes tailgating at a University of Texas football game in Austin, Texas.
