I like the fact that this show is less sprawling than the original. There are far fewer characters. The show also feels different to Game of Thrones by looking at the factions and fighting within one family rather than across many others.

Already a very entertaining show, and I suspect the jillion or so people who watched the premiere are likely already hooked. While I still don’t trust the show not to make any Thrones-ian missteps, there’s a lot of reason to be cautiously optimistic.
