      Birthday: Jul 12, 1977

      Birthplace: Berlin, West Germany

Born in Berlin in 1977, Alexandra Finder has been a familiar face on German TV since she made her debut in 1996 on the long-running soap opera "Gute Zeiten, Schleite Zeiten," created by Australian TV legend Reg Watson. Having studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, she has subsequently managed to combine her numerous TV appearances with occasional bits of film work and regular stints on the German stage. She is a member of the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden, where she has appeared in such classics as Moliere's "The Miser" and Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night," as well as modern theatrical works. Away from soaps and TV appearances, she has starred in some interestingly offbeat movies, notable examples including 2006's "Brinkmanns Zorn," a biopic of the late German poet Rolf Dieter Brinkmann, which featured dialogue dubbed over original recordings of the man himself. Finder also gave an impressive performance in the 2007 romance "Wrong Number," about a New Yorker who strikes up a curious romance with a German girl after dialing her number by mistake. More recently, she has starred in Christoph Hochhäusler's drama "Unter Dir Die Stadt," which was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
