Reacher — Season 4

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Reacher maintains its formula for maximum entertainment, serving more brawn, enough narrative brains, and always the right amount of Alan Ritchson to keep the operation up and running for seasons to come.

The mix of brawn and brains in the series feels newly revitalized. Reacher’s back, baby. Go to Full Review
Alan Sepinwall What's Alan Watching? (Ghost.io) Aug 12
It knows what it is, and it knows how to take advantage of its star's most notable attribute. Sometimes, just asking, "What if a guy was big?" is okay if your answers are interesting enough. Go to Full Review

It verges on self-parody at times, but remains viscerally thrilling and a whole heap of fun. Go to Full Review

Reacher Season 4 brings Alan Ritchson back as Jack Reacher for a dangerous subway mystery that expands into a deadly conspiracy involving powerful enemies. Go to Full Review
Dustin Rowles Pajiba Aug 21
I’m not entirely sure why it feels reinvigorated: it’s the same formula, the same Reacher strut, the same force in those punches. But it does feel more lively and fun this year than anything since the debut. Go to Full Review

You’re not going to catch Alan Ritchson playing King Lear at Stratford or doing Noël Coward at Chichester, but as an implacable warrior for truth, justice and the American way... he’ll be a hard act to follow. Go to Full Review

Andrew K @RT82423017 9h I continue to like the main character, and there is lots of good action -- maybe a bit too much? It's easy to tune out and think, "I'm sure they'll get out of this somehow too" -- but the dialogue is pretty lame, and the secondary characters annoying and one dimensional. It's kind of like a Hallmark Christmas special with violence instead of romance. See more Patricia M @noteman 11h This season is so bad it is unwatchable. Ritchson's acting is so bad it is comical. The writing is almost as bad as his acting. Bottom line? Do not waste your time. onot waste your time. See more t C @TC002 11h Boring cast of characters and plot. Season 1 was good, but downhill since then. See more Joanne L @Joanne158 18h this season feels flat and predictable, with characters who come across kind of lame and underdeveloped. It feels like the show puts in little effort to create real tension or interest, making it hard to stay engaged. It’s like watching a cheesy 1980’s TV show, stiff and outdated. Ridiculous , childish and boring. See more Richard L @RT42013425 19h Who is writing this stuff? First 2 or 3 episodes I thought it might be good. I'm willing to forgive the constant- Reacher happens upon a major conspiracy in every town situation. Ill go with it. I can believe this guy is a physical giant with Sherlock Holmes like intellect, but then he goes on to just do one dumb thing after another. Is there no other way to push the plot than to have him do something stupid, forcing him to fight his way out of unbelievable odds? For the past few episodes not much has happened other than: they get caught, they get away, immediately stop out in the open to chat, get caught again, get away...rinse and repeat. An army cant stop him so next scene- one guy shows up. This show feels like it was written by middle school kids who have never read a good book or watched an intelligent show. I really enjoyed the first season. Season two was awful. Season three was ok. This season is just miserable. I should just stop and rewatch Mr. In Between. See more Roslyn B @RT56790032178 19h I'm out, each season is somehow worse than the last one, i don't even know where to start so I wont, Rictchson has really dug himself into an acting hole, I thought he would have been better than this.
