Benny Burt was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Burt started his acting career landing roles in such films as the Patsy Kelly musical comedy "Pick a Star" (1937), "Hawaiian Buckaroo" (1938) and the Sterling Hayden crime flick "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950). He also appeared in the crime picture "Cry Danger" (1951) with Dick Powell. He kept working in film throughout the fifties, starring in the crime feature "M" (1951) with David Wayne, the crime flick "Rogue Cop" (1954) with Robert Taylor and the biographical drama "Love Me or Leave Me" (1955) with Doris Day. Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in the dramatic adaptation "Lucy Gallant" (1955) with Jane Wyman, "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt" (1956) and "Chicago Confidential" (1957) with Brian Keith. Burt more recently acted in the Jack Lemmon dramatic comedy "The Apartment" (1960). Burt passed away in May 1980 at the age of 80.
