Duke Davis Roberts
Former mixed martial arts fighter-turned-actor Duke Davis Roberts burst onto the scene in 2015 with a memorable performance in the final season of "Justified" (FX, 2010-15) before further boosting his profile with roles in police procedural "Battle Creek" (CBS, 2015-) and sports drama "Undrafted" (2015). Born in Los Angeles in 1994, Roberts competed as an amateur in the MMA field for two years, winning a light heavyweight belt before giving up the sport to pursue a career in acting. Roberts landed his first acting gig in an episode of medical drama "The Night Shift" (NBC, 2014-) but was first seen on screen in the sixth season of gripping backwoods drama "Justified" (FX, 2010-15) when he played Choo-Choo, a brain-damaged war veteran and Avery's imposing henchman, for four episodes. Roberts made a notable impression during his short stint on the show, and went onto play a similar role when he guest starred in the second episode of Vince Gilligan's first venture outside the "Breaking Bad" (AMC, 2008-13) world, "Battle Creek" (CBS, 2015). Continuing his hot streak, Roberts was then cast as Ty Dellamonica in baseball drama "Undrafted" (2015), the full-length directorial debut of former "Jurassic Park" (1993) child star Joseph Mazzello.
