Haruko Kato was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Kato's career beginnings included film roles in the drama "MacArthur's Children" (1985) with Takaya Yamauchi and the biopic "Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters" (1985) with Ken Ogata. Kato made film her next project, appearing in "Hana Ichimomme" (1986), the Hiromi Go historical romance "Yari No Gonza" (1988) and the Hiromi Go romance "Die Tanzerin" (1990). More recently, Kato acted in the Chieko Baisho animated picture "Howl's Moving Castle" (2005).
