John Wirth, an accomplished television writer and producer, began his career in 1980 as a writer on the family dramedy series "Eight is Enough." In 1984, he became a story editor and writer on the private eye adventure series "Remington Steele." He left the show in 1986, and went on to write and produce a couple of made-for-TV movies, "Carly's Web" and "The Bakery." In 1993, Wirth became a supervising producer and writer on "The Adventures of Brisco Country Jr.," the science fiction western hybrid that starred B horror icon Bruce Campbell. Wirth's gone on to build his reputation as a producer working on a string of dramas, including "Picket Fences," "Nash Bridges," "The District," and "Ghost Whisperer." In 2008, Wirth served as executive producer on the "Terminator" spin-off series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." The science fiction series struggled to find an audience and was cancelled in May of 2009. After the show's cancellation, he moved on to the revamped science fiction invasion series "V."
