Lisa Sheridan was an American actress best known for her TV work, whose promising career was cut tragically short by her untimely death at the age of 44. Born on December 5, 1974 in Macon, GA, Sheridan attended school at Mount de Sales Academy, before going on to study acting at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in Pittsburgh, PA. She made her TV debut in 1997, appearing in an episode of the final season of the TGIF sitcom "Step by Step" (ABC, 1991-1997). The next year, Sheridan was cast in a recurring role, playing Vivian Winters on the Western drama series "Legacy" (UPN, 1998-1999). After that series wrapped after eighteen episodes, Sheridan made her film debut in "Beat" (2000), an independent film about the eventually deadly relationship between writer/poet William S. Burroughs and his wife Joan. She was then cast as the lead on the sci-fi thriller series "FreakyLinks" (FOX, 2000-2001). The show ended after only thirteen episodes, and Sheridan moved on to another lead role in another sci-fi thriller, playing Larkin Groves on "Invasion" (ABC, 2005), which also proved to be short-lived. Sheridan then took on the recurring role on Dr. Theresa Sanchez on the time traveling romance series "Journeyman" (NBC, 2007), before enjoying a three-episode arc as Kathleen Newberry on "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012). In addition to appearances on shows such as "Saving Grace" (TNT, 2007-2010), "The Mentalist" (CBS, 2008-2015), "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-), and "Scandal" (ABC, 2012-18), Sheridan appeared in such films as "McCartney's Genes" (2008), "Elsa & Fred" (2014), "A Magic Christmas" (2014), and "Only God Can" (2015). Sheridan won praise from critics for a two-episode arc on the first season of "Halt and Catch Fire" (AMC, 2014-17), before enjoying a three-episode arc on the Billy Ray Cyrus sitcom "Still the King" (CMT, 2016-2017). Sheridan's final TV appearance was on an episode of "Murder in the First" (TNT, 2014-16), while her final film role was in the eco-thriller "Strange Nature" (2018). On February 25, 2019, Lisa Sheridan died at her home in New Orleans, LA. She was 44 years old.
