Makenna James

American actress Makenna James graduated from appearing in commercials as a child to becoming a regular presence on television. She began her TV career with a guest appearance on "How to Get Away With Murder" (ABC, 2014-), before landing a larger role as one of the children in the made-for-television family movie "Divide & Conquer" (2014). A recurring role on "Transparent" (Amazon, 2014-) as the younger version of Amy Landecker's Sarah in flashbacks followed. After appearing on an episode of the hit sitcom "Community" (NBC, 2009-15), she made prominent guest appearances on "Teen Wolf" (MTV, 2011-17) playing Cody Christian's deceased sister and as a potential love interest for Sean Giabrone's Adam on "The Goldbergs" (ABC, 2013-). She was cast as a lead in the Nasim Pedrad pilot "Chad: An American Boy" (2016), but the show was ultimately not picked up. She found better fortune, though, with her next project when producers John Wells and John Riggi cast James as one of the leads in their "American Woman" (Paramount Network, 2018-). The actress played Becca, the daughter of Alicia Silverstone's lead character, in the '70s-set sitcom.
