Mark Allen was an accomplished actor who appeared in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Allen had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the comedic adaptation "Who Was That Lady?" (1960) with Tony Curtis, "The Gambler Wore a Gun" (1961) and the western "How the West Was Won" (1962) with Carroll Baker. He also appeared in "Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion" (1965) with Marshall Thompson and "Marlowe" (1969). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters" (ABC, 1963-64). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the noir "Farewell, My Lovely" (1975) with Robert Mitchum, the dramatic adaptation "Heatwave" (1982) with Judy Davis and the Roger Pretto drama "The Victims" (1989). He also was featured in the TV movies "Fatal Exposure" (1990-91), "Deceptions: A Mother's Secret" (NBC, 1991-92) and "Chrome Soldiers" (USA, 1991-92). Allen most recently worked on "2000 Olympic Games" (CNBC, 2000-01).
