British-American actor and singer-songwriter Michael Malarkey began his career on the London stage before rising to worldwide fame thanks to his role as villainous bloodsucker Enzo in "The Vampire Diaries" (The CW, 2009-17). Born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983 to a British mother and Irish-American father, Malarkey grew up in Yellow Springs, Ohio where he first began performing in various high school punk bands. After moving to London to study at the city's Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, he landed roles in stage productions "Inches Apart," "Spring Storm" and "Beyond the Horizon" and went onto play Elvis Presley in jukebox musical "Million Dollar Quartet" and Jay Gatsby in "The Great Gatsby." Malarkey first appeared on screen in "Good Morning Rachel" (2009), a short film about the morning after a young couple's one night stand, before portraying real-life Titanic victim Milton Long in historical documentary series "Curiosity" (Discovery Channel, 2011-) and guesting in two episodes of "Dark Matters: Twisted But True" (Science Channel, 2011-12), the John Noble-hosted expose of science's most bizarre experiments. After playing the Cowboy in "Ghost in the House" (2012), a fantastical short about a lonely woman's friendship with a 60-year-old talking tractor, Malarkey starred as the Prince who 35 girls compete to marry in TV movie "The Selection" (The CW, 2013), landed his first recurring role as Jojo's demanding husband "Anthony" in the fifth and final season of restaurant-based Irish drama "Raw" (RTE, 2008-13) and played Bruno in "Impirioso" (2013), the curious tale of a gold digger who becomes possessed by a cursed fashion logo. Malarkey's profile then soared in 2013 when he was cast as Enzo, the antihero Augustine Vampire in the hugely popular fantasy drama "The Vampire Diaries" (The CW, 2009-17). During his stint on the show, Malarkey also appeared as Robin's ex-boyfriend Craig in "Mr. Sloane" (Sky Atlantic, 2014), a '60s-based drama about a suicidal accountant's attempt to get his life back on track. He launched his music career with 2014's Feed The Flames, a five-track E.P. inspired by Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan.
