Michael Preece is a film director with over 40 screen credits to his name. In 1955 Preece left Santa Monica City College to work as a television script supervisor and soon landed steady work supervising and acting in such shows as "Men in War" and "I Spy." Preece worked steadily through the early '70s and earned his first directing credit on the 1975 police series "The Streets of San Francisco." In addition to his work as script supervisor on movies like "Mitchell," in the '80s Preece began regularly directing such hit shows as "Barnaby Jones," "B.J. and the Bear," and "T.J. Hooker." Preece eventually directed over 60 episodes of the primetime soap opera "Dallas," and directed numerous episodes of such shows as "MacGyver" and "Knots Landing." From 1993 to 2001 he served as a primary director on the Chuck Norris action series "Walker, Texas Ranger," and has since directed multiple episodes of the family drama "7th Heaven" and helmed the 2000 TV movie "The President's Man."
