Pam Veasey
Determination and talent is what got Pam Veasey from being a production office receptionist to eventually becoming a respected television executive producer/show runner. Tthe Washington State native broke into the industry while working as a secretary for the 1981 sitcom "Gimme a Break!," where she submitted a spec script to one of the show's producers, who promptly added her to the writing staff during the mid-1980s. Veasey transitioned from sitcoms to sketch comedy when she was brought aboard Fox's "In Living Color," where she went from being an Emmy-nominated writer to eventually being promoted to executive producer status in 1993. After working as a writer and/or consulting producer on "Nash Bridges," "The Gregory Hines Show," and "Martial Law," Veasey found her niche in the world of hour-long episodic dramas. She worked on the 2000 CBS police series "The District" as a writer and executive producer. After the " The District " ended in 2004 she landed in the same roles on the police procedural drama "CSI: NY" in 2005.
