Pedro de Cordoba

Pedro De Cordoba was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. De Cordoba's earliest roles were in film, including "When Knighthood Was in Flower" (1922), "The Bandolero" (1924) and the Loretta Young historical feature "The Crusades" (1935). He also appeared in the adventure "Captain Blood" (1935) with Errol Flynn, the Ralph Morgan horror movie "Condemned to Live" (1935) and the Victor McLaglen drama "Professional Soldier" (1935). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties and the forties, appearing in the drama "The Light That Failed" (1939) with Ronald Colman, the Russell Hayden western "Law of the Pampas" (1939) and the action movie "Man of Conquest" (1939) with Richard Dix. He also appeared in the fantasy "Earthbound" (1940) with Warner Baxter. In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the Gary Cooper drama "For Whom the Bell Tolls" (1943), "Background to Danger" (1943) and "The Falcon in Mexico" (1944) with Tom Conway. He also appeared in the action flick "Uncertain Glory" (1944) with Errol Flynn and "Kismet" (1944). De Cordoba was most recently credited in the Susan Hayward western "Thunder in the Sun" (1959). De Cordoba passed away in September 1950 at the age of 69.
