Penny Allen
Actress Penny Allen appeared in a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Allen began her acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the comedy adaptation "Oh! What A Lovely War" (1969) with Ralph Richardson, the drama "Scarecrow" (1973) with Gene Hackman and the Al Pacino crime flick "Dog Day Afternoon" (1975). She also was featured in the miniseries "The Murder of Mary Phagan" (1987-88). She also appeared in the TV movie "A Time For Miracles" (ABC, 1980). She continued to act in productions like the crime picture "Bad Lieutenant" (1992) with Harvey Keitel, the dramatic adaptation "The War At Home" (1996) with Emilio Estevez and the action film "The Thin Red Line" (1998) with Sean Penn. She also appeared in the TV special "Big Time" (PBS, 1988-89). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Under Suspicion" (CBS, 1994-95). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Allen lent her talents to projects like "Holy Smoke" with Kate Winslet (1999), "Lost Souls" with Winona Ryder (2000) and "Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her" (2001). Her credits also expanded to "In the Cut" (2003) starring Meg Ryan and "Three Days of Rain" (2005) starring Keir Dullea. Most recently, Allen appeared on "Planet Earth" (Discovery Channel, 2006).
