Robert Cochran

Beginning his career in 1987 as a writer for the television drama "L.A. Law," and, later,"Falcon Crest," Robert Cochran eventually moved into the producer's chair. While continuing to write, Cochran served as producer on the early '90s cop series "The Commish," starring Michael Chiklis, and rose to co-executive producer of the show until its '95 finale. Penning and co-producing the military legal drama series "JAG" for a season, he then joined Joel Surnow in developing the spy show "La Femme Nikita," writing several episodes. After "Nikita," Cochran and Surnow created the long-running action series "24" for Fox, an immediate hit starring Kiefer Sutherland. Cochran has earned multiple Emmy nominations and wins. In addition to his credits, he also wrote for the 2001 TV movie "Attila," starring Gerald Butler as the fierce leader Attila the Hun. In '07, Cochran created the medical comedy "The Call," starring Kal Penn, and wrote and executive produced the TV spy movie "Company Man," starring Jason Behr and Stana Katic. His eight-season run on "24," however, continues to be Cochran's most-well known achievement, with nearly 200 episodes and the TV movie "24" under his belt.
