Robert Kent was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Kent's earliest roles were in film, including the drama "Dimples" (1936) with Shirley Temple Black, "Reunion" (1936) and "King of the Royal Mounted" (1936). He also appeared in "The Crime of Dr. Forbes" (1936), "Angel's Holiday" (1937) and the mystery "Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo" (1937) with Warner Oland. His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like "Wanted By the Police" (1938), the Joe E Brown drama "The Gladiator" (1938) and "The Phantom Creeps" (1939). He also appeared in "Calling All Marines" (1939). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "What Next, Corporal Hargrove?" (1945), "The Phantom Rider" (1946) and the Leon Errol sports "Joe Palooka, Champ" (1946). He also appeared in the Clifton Webb comedy "For Heaven's Sake" (1950) and "The Country Girl" (1954) with Bing Crosby. Kent was most recently credited in "The 100 Greatest Dance Songs" (VH1, 2000-01). Kent was married to Astrid Allwyn. Kent passed away in May 1955 at the age of 47.
