Sydney Lucas
Born in Atlanta in 2003, Sydney Lucas moved with her family to New York City and began her performing career early, with a voice-over role in the animated kids show "Team Umizoomi" (Nick, Jr, 2010-) in 2011. She made her first appearance on the big screen, when she played a younger version of Kirsten Wiig in "Girl Most Likely" (2012). In 2013, she made her premiere as Small Alison, in the Off-Broadway production of "Fun Home," a musical, adapted from the Alison Bechdel's graphic novel of the same name. The production earned overwhelmingly positive reviews and Lucas became the youngest actress ever to win an Obie in 2014 for her role in the show. In 2014, she appeared again as Wiig's younger self, in the Sundance hit, "The Skeleton Twins" (2014). The same year, Lucas appeared with her brother, Jake, playing siblings, in the Peter Bogdanovich film "She's Funny Like That" (2014). In 2015, Lucas premiered on Broadway when "Fun House" moved to the Circle in the Square Theater, and she was subsequently nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Performance. In 2015, it was announced that Lucas would play the lead in the 2016 Lincoln Center production of "The Secret Garden."
