Carina Chocano Los Angeles Times Note to the writers: Just because a movie is a mystery doesn't mean everything in it has to be. Rated: 2/5 Feb 8, 2008 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a misguided and thoroughly pointless piece of work. Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 22, 2011 Full Review Christopher Null Filmcritic.com one long, slow buildup to a surprise ending that conceals two or three twisting secrets while still remaining elusive and open to interpretation. Rated: 3/5 Mar 14, 2008 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet A surprisingly engrossing two-person character study that (gradually) reveals something quite a bit darker beneath the surface. Rated: 4/5 Feb 28, 2008 Full Review Brian Orndorf DVDTalk.com It's an obvious, overlong, determined misfire of a motion picture...ambitious, but it's also fatally flawed. Rated: D Feb 22, 2008 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Is a much different film than "Hatchet." It's focused, it's low key, it's original, and it really takes its plot seriously... Eddie Rocky R Cathi-jo Great job in the film awesome film continued Success. Great Job Director Adam Green Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/24/24 Full Review Rrobert G Excellent movie. Tells a story of the fantasy of a young man traumatized in childhood who is shy, sensitive and socially incompetent. The movie shows how In the world of the abused child, fantasy makes the impossible seem possible. In the face of adversity fantasy brings hope where none should exist. Dissociation into fantasy allows the damaged child to experience real happiness. When real life intrudes into conciousness, when the fantasy becomes real, the damaged young man dissociates from from reality into his fantasies and continues to act them out leading to tragedy. It's a story that is repeated over and over by abused children, most don't end in violent murder, many end in suicide. With the death of hope, anger an fatalism is all that remains. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/05/24 Full Review Audience Member Reasonably good film that kept me watching although I got confused with some aspects of the story Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The neat direction, editing and photography are not enough to save Spiral from predictability and flatness. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Frances H Well acted, rather fascinating psycho-drama that makes you feel sorry for the the perpetrator as well as the victim.
