John S 04/26/2024 i love history and Bathory is my favorite historical figure and i liked the film even though it is not completely biographical See more bill t @Spuzz 12/21/2022 Never ending, and frequently boring, despite all the violence and battle scenes (!!) in this exploration of a purpoted baroness who kept eternal youth by bathing in virgin blood. The story itself is interesting, but this adaptation is filled with unneccesary characters (the 2 comedy relief monks for starters) and just way too much plot padding (Spartans! Caravaggio!) to maintain interest and awakedness. The gadgets of the friar and his partner were totally irrelevant to the story and made this interminable film even more unbearable.
