Audience Member Assassin PG-13 (killing and guns) - fantasy and robots Sciencefiction Monsters Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/01/24 Full Review Stephen A Espionage, Cyborgs & '80s Charm: 'Assassin' - A Hidden TV Gem "Assassin," a relic from TV movie gold, fuses spy intrigue and sci-fi with the finesse of mixing two mismatched genres at an '80s drive-in. Imagine: big hair and modest TV effects—a delightful era indeed. In a world of assassins and cyborgs, chaos ensues, a cybernetic bull in the agency's china shop. Retired operatives return for an espionage tango, but this cyborg defies its programming. The labyrinthine plot unfolds like a magician's trick, with execution as precise as the cyborg's leaps. Despite dated effects, directorial finesse gives it a big-budget vibe. An ensemble cast shines, making "Assassin" a hidden gem—intellect wrapped in '80s allure. A thrilling ride worth unearthing! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/22/23 Full Review Audience Member 58% "Let's get something straight, I don't cook, wash dishes, fetch slippers or scream over mice, spiders or peeping toms. In short, I paddle my own canoe."-Mary Casallas (Karen Austin) Dry as the 80's desert sand. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A predictable little made for TV movie that takes a lot from other movies like The Terminator, Westworld, and any other killer robot flick. The actors are mediocre, and so is the action. Although it was interesting to see him jump out a window three times. Overall, this movie is just so-so. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Made for TV fare has ex-CIA Robert Conrad called out of retirement as country's best hope to derail rogue cyborg on its path of destruction while superiors try to cover up embarrassing evidence. Worth it for Conrad's sweater in his opening scene. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
