Audience Member There's some inconsistencies with this movie, and i don't need to be historian to notice. I get the ideas they wanted to portray, but they excecuted it poorly. The action sequences and acting were fine, but the rest was kind of awful. Still It's watchable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review kevin o ...a straight forward ww2 film that moves along without pause till the exciting ending. If it sounds good you ll love it. Forget the critics as always. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review John Z The film has a stellar cast and very realistic combat scenes! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/24 Full Review Red T It's Entertaining and better than I expected. The main problem here is the acting is just ok and none of the characters really stand out. This needed an ensemble type cast. It's not that anyone is bad but no one really has a strong enough persona to stand out like The Longest Day. The editing and pacing aren't bad either. The main issue is the attempts at drama like when they are in a prison for 20 minutes or focusing on the drama of the soldiers isn't really anything riveting or as interesting as the actual battle. When this movie focuses on the actual battle it is good. The cinematography of the battle scenes are really good especially in the first few minutes. The fighting on the bridge itself however is ok and all kind of looks the same and isn't as good as the fighting in the town or at the start. It feels like it starts to drag a bit on the bridge. This should've focused more on the actual event of the battle and showing it over days instead of cliff noting it. It shouldn't have just focused on the soldiers and shown key events throughout in a ensemble cast. However it's never boring, unclear, pretentious, or over the top and does follow a general flow. Instead of seeing it through the squad it should've been through key events shown how each led to the next. If your a die hard WWII movie fan or big fan of anyone in this than give it a try. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/14/23 Full Review Jacob S I am a German student living in Remagen. I am a part of the local museum at committee, and it is a *requirement* to get drunk and attempt to sit through this insult to history. It is fun to compare and contrast how the true battle went down, and then to enjoy this movie for what it is- a comedy. I found it humorous, but also disturbing that some people might actually believe this is how the battle was portrayed. If you like Fury or that terrible new Midway movie- ja! you might enjoy this, but beware! no brad Pitt! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/16/22 Full Review Audience Member 3 out of 5 stars... Acting just ok in this one Cinematography was quite good! Movie dragged a bit story wise But it was really cool to see Sherman tanks and everything so authentic! Maybe a barely top 100 war movie of all time or just outside the top 100 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
