Degenerate Monty Capuletti (Rodney Dangerfield) is perfectly content spending his life drinking, smoking and gambling with his other layabout buddies. His wealthy mother-in-law, Mrs. Monahan (Geraldine Fitzgerald), has long disapproved of Monty's irresponsible behavior, but when she dies she leaves him $10 million in her will. This is a fantastic and underrated classic. Rodney Dangerfield is a believable character and Joe Pesci is brilliant as usual. This is worth the 95 minutes and then some.

This kind of story isn't new, they did something like in "The Flintstones". And the subplot of who's paying for Monty's daughter's wedding can kill the pacing. But it's Rodney Dangerfield, he's always brilliant. With great laughs and not original but fun plot.

Lyrical genesis for Anthrax’s “I’m The Man”, this low brow comedy has an embarrassingly low laugh-per-minute average. Juvenile direction is as uneven as Dangerfield is uncouth. Editing is scattershot & script feels unfinished. #nitrosMovieChallenge

This is a hidden gem. I have to say, for anyone who was a Dangerfield fan, this is almost a must see. The plot was a loose one and the entire daughter/marriage subplot didn't do much for me but the one liners cover up the faults.
