Perhaps another lead actor would have made FTB more interesting, but Christopher Dennis provides more unintentional laughs with his bad imitations and voices than threats. If you love movies in general, I think you're going to like this film. Dennis Christopher's performance is fantastic. A remake in this day and age could be very well done depending on what properties they would choose to use. Definitely give it a shot.
