Depends what you're into, but for a 70's PG horror film, I found it entertaining, as I do with most Band/Full Moon films. You can see a lot of inspiration for the Puppet Master franchise in the music score and with the mannequins. If you're looking for a unique, somewhat creepy film with a few plot twists, maybe even to watch with the whole family, this one's a good choice.

To watch a movie made in 1979 you have to at least try to watch it with the eyes of that time, and I believe that, for the time it was released, Tourist Trap had a very interesting new idea while always keeping you uncomfortable. Sometimes the plot can be confusing, but by the end of it, you'll be surprised.

This movie is a lot of fun and it's great if you like a Thriller movie as it has little gore but should scare you plenty! It's creepy good fun with mannequins! Yikes! It's rated PG, not even PG-13, it's much scarier than Jaws but just as much fun! Watch this underrated classic and see why it has become a cult favorite!

"Tourist Trap (1979)" is ripe for a redo. Take the special effects of Sam Smith's "To Die For" music video + "Tourist Trap" + "The Twilight Zone" episode "The New Exhibit (1963)" = Sick-&-Twisted, Mannequin-Murder Mayhem. Any of these director/writers could update this horror classic into an mega-creepy, modern-day nightmare – Nick Antosca, Ari Aster, Alejandro Brugués, Sean Byrne, Mike Dougherty, Veronika Franz + Severin Fiala, Micah Gallo, Issa López, Aaron Jay Rome, or Toby Wilkins.
