Twiggy H Terrible film writing.. cops out about a third of the way in. Too much time spent having the actress wobble about in high heels, then gets a terrible hairdo, only to rush a patchy put together ending. Also quite tacky to have had the best friend and good guy do the 'bad thing' *eye roll* Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/22/24 Full Review Audience Member Possibly Blake Edwards finest comedy, and Ellen Barkin's finest performance. This film is a classic, and it should be under LGBTQ+ studies, as lesbianism/homosexuality is an underlying current in this gender bender. As a cis woman, I think this film helped me deal with my masculine side in more ways than one. I related to Barkin's character of being a man in heels, even though outwardly I'm a woman in flats. Anyone who is borderline with their internalized feelings of gender, and where they fit on that spectrum, might enjoy this comedy. Maybe all of us can't have the baby-love ending this one has, but, I think it's a nice exploration of gender, with a pretty satisfactory plot to keep it all moving. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Chad T Not as good as the feature film version of the play Good-bye Charlie starring Debbie Reynolds and Tony Curtis. Debbie plays the gunned down and overboard Charlie Sorel turned into a woman for his just desserts. Yet being the conniver he always has been Charlie still finds away to use the women he's sought previously for money and revenge. Turn off Switch and turn on Good-bye Charlie instead. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/06/20 Full Review steve d absolutely gross and not a drop of it is funny. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Blake Edwards goes the gender-bender route again but this film is definitely no VICTOR/VICTORIA; Ellen Barkin is good, though. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't understand why Switch has gotten such low ratings!??? This movie is fantastic. It will have legs forever. I KNOW my movies. My goal is to see everything EVEr filmed. I probably should of been a movie critic. In any case, Ellen Barkin is one of the sexiest things I have EVER SEEN on screen in this movie. The plot is awesome. One of my favorites and I suggest everyone sees it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
