This is one of those movies where the dialog would sound OK in a book, but spoken out loud it just sounds weird. Like at the beginning when the mom says, "The mountains look like big teeth."

It was 1972 and it was called the Miracle of the Andes based on the Piers Paul Read biography The only known stars here are John Malkovich, a young Josh Lucas, and Ethan Hawke This centers on an Uruguayan rugby team flying to Chile for their next tournament Unfortunately the plane ends up crashing into the mountains and each member reacts differently The leader Nando tries to keep everyone's spirits up; medical student Roberto diligently treats cases of frostbite and gangrene; loose cannon Antonio gradually loses his composure Once all available food supplies run out, the group faces a terrible dilemma: eat one or more of their deceased teammates, or die It's a struggle to maintain their composure and figure out a way to survive with one another or all perish The film seems very realistic in terms of its scenario, has a decent assortment of actors, and dramatic music A harrowing and disturbing look at the struggles of survival among many

Bloody Disgusting
