Audience Member Silly jungle junk but Hedy is ravishing. If that's enough for you this is worth watching once but only once. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Hedy Lamar plays African native seductress Tondelayo, luring great white hunger Walter Pidgeon and other sugar plantation Englishmen to do her bidding. The story and characters are extremely corny, not to mention the rampart racism throughout the film. The only reason to watch this film is for the unbelievably gorgeous Lamar, who was popular in her day but sadly never seemed to have appeared in any film classics, causing her to become somewhat of a forgotten Hollywood star. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member a strange kinda hybrid pix Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Hedy Lamarr is the only bright side of this movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting little production in which a forewarned English man is seduced and betrayed by an infamous, seductive native- played with viscious sex appeal by the beautiful Hedy Lamarr. It isn't exactly brilliant, but its jungle setting and brutal climax make it worthwhile. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I was curious about this movie because of gorgeous Hedy Lamarr as "Tandelayo", but this thing was awful, with blatant racist dialogue -- so pervasive in these bwana ungawa movies. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, Frank Morgan, who played a drunk doctor, and I'll never use the word "acclimatized" in conversation again!
