Anderson Jones Detroit Free Press Sweet, but cavity-inducing. And it's hardly enough to make us believe the blank-faced Downey as a romantic lead. Rated: 2/4 Apr 26, 2022 Full Review Kenneth Turan Los Angeles Times "Only You" plays more like a pleasant travelogue than an involving film. Jan 23, 2019 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly Movies like Only You and its obvious model, Sleepless in Seattle, are less true romances than they are collections of romantic signifiers. Rated: C Sep 7, 2011 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...an appealingly romantic premise that's employed to rather hit-and-miss effect by Jewison... Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 20, 2020 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins It's only ostensibly about men; the real focus is on the friendship between two women, as well as the ways in which their support system helps them get past tribulations. Rated: 7/10 Sep 24, 2020 Full Review Alan Jones Radio Times Moonstruck director Norman Jewison successfully mines the same territory with this delicious "Cinderella Italian-style" romantic comedy. May T Love the acting, the story, the italian scenery. Amazing movie that makes you smile Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Farah R A romantic comedy that has its intended effect on audiences, Only You gets hearts racing and smiles wide. Thanks to its ridiculous yet charming premise and the electrifying chemistry between its charismatic leads, the film displays a heated romance with a beautiful Italian backdrop. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Audience Member from the director of 'Moonstruck' comes a film featuring a very young Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey, Jr. starring in a romantic/comedy written in the stars but found on earth sometimes we gotta wonder if we're fated to be with someone or if it's just by pure coincidence nothing is set in stone or maybe not everything is written in the stars supporting players include Fisher Stevens, Bonnie Hunt, and Billy Zane Faith (Tomei) wants to find her soulmate Damon Bradley; she's influenced by ouija boards, fortune tellers just to find the one person she's meant to fall in love with she does find someone to marry but after getting a phone call with somebody named Damon Bradley she blows it off and decides to follow the supposed-man-of-her dreams all the way to Italy to see if he's the real deal she finds him and they seem to hit it off instantly; only problem is he DOESN'T share the same name of the man she was actually looking for so he spends the rest of the encounter trying to prove his affections Faith's best friend Kate is also going through a rough patch thinking her husband is committing infidelity so the trip might also be a wake up call we make our own destiny, we shouldn't have to wait for good things to come, fate doesn't always choose everything for us, it's more important to look past what we should follow but more of what we want to follow truly one of the best films of the early 90s and highlights of these actors' early careers Such incredible chemistry with a super romantic vibe with fantastic scenery after 30 years Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review Darshan K It's a MASTERPIECE!!!. I loved loved loved itttt❤️❤️❤️. I wished it never ended mannn😭😭😭 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Bahad j It's a lot of work from the recording and music team. The film can be seen.
