Steve D You have seen it before but Ringwald is surprisingly good. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member You can say this is a teen version of movies like "Fatal Attraction" or "Play Misty For Me" and not a very good version. Molly Ringwald plays a jilted lover who goes insane when she is rejected. She stalks the boy and reacts violently when he refuses her affections. The movie I remember Ringwald best for is "The Breakfast Club" which I recall was very good. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review william s Not Malicious enough....Molly Ringfrigginwald as the villain?????? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member With the removal of the brief glimpse of Molly Ringwald's boobs and a few R-rated words, this could fit onto the Lifetime Movie Network no problem. One of hundreds of dull retreads of "Fatal Attraction" that fails to bring anything new to the genre. Entertainment can be found in the way Miss Ringwald badly bungles the "psycho murderous bitch" character. I'm all for actors going against their popular image, but she simply does not convince. Everyone else is too generic to comment on. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review dave j Wednesday, October 30, 2013 (1995) Malicious THRILLER "Leave Her To Heaven",(1947)"Possessed" starring Van Heflin, "Play Misty For Me, "Fatal Attraction","Swimfan", "Obsession", "The Other Woman", "The Crush", "Fear" perhaps "Misery" and then add "Malicious" to this list of movies that involves girls/ women becoming obsessed over their male counterparts with the only difference in this case is that it has actress Molly Ringwald becoming the stalker after a one-nighter. Molly plays Melissa who becomes infatuated with baseball player Doug (Patrick McGaw) who won't take no for an answer nor will she allow anything to get in the way even if it involves murder. And we even get to know more about her toward the end which is not much of a surprise. I must admit, back in the heydays when actress Molly Ringwald was starring in many popular teen movies such as "Sixteen Candles", "the Breakfast Club" and "Pretty In Pink" to name a few, many of my peers were wondering if she'll ever have a nude scene in a movie since there may have been a time when she did have a no-nudity clause on her contract. And I guess when her movie career wasn't as good as much as she wanted it to be, she started to agree to do different movie projects such as this simplistic stalking movie, and then voila- her breasts are shown. Just when everyone think she's sticking to those teenage innocent roles, she does one that is not exactly what people are accustomed to seeing her which is alright if you've never seen a stalking movie before, or if you still have the hot's for Ringwald. And because internet has become much more prevalent these days, viewers don't even need to watch the entire movie anymore to see their favorite celebrities naked anymore. It's definitely not what it used to be. And although this movie is well made, I've pretty much seen this done before but with different actresses. I mean, do I really have to see this again regardless who plays the 'stalker' role. 2 out of 4 stars Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review don s This is about as far from the sweet and innocent John Hughes characters Molly Ringwald can get. The story is standard Basic Instinct - psychotically unstable woman can't take rejection. Nothing new and not particularly involving. The acting is average, though Ringwald appears to try too hard and didn't really smolder in the seduction scenes (she looked very uncomfortable). Vernon and Kuzyk are wasted here. A so-so entertainment experience. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
