Audience Member A weird concept and way more dramatic than it needs to be. The low budget actually hinders Proteus' vision. There is potential here, but it is never reached. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member The problem with so many low budget mid-90's sci-fi horrors is that they still have both feet in the 80's. Stealing wholesale from 'Aliens' and 'The Thing' and even riffing upon Brad Fiedels 'Terminator score and with Craig Fairbrass as the leading man in a proto-Stahtam role. It's not that its bad it just doesn't have an original idea in its head, there are some nice physical effects on display but the sets are straight out of 80's Doctor Who and some really wooden acting brings an already by the numbers script even lower. Knock back a few beers whilst your watching this or do the ironing like I did, that way you don't feel like you've completely wasted 100 minutes of your life. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member This 1995 sci-fi horror movie was good directed by Bob Keen! Although it was a robbery of the sci-fi horror movie "The Thing"! The only difference the creature was created in a research lad inside a oil rig in this movie which in "The Thing" the creature actually came from space. However, both creatures took copied human identities. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A personal favorite of mine, A low budget horror film that succeeds in bringing a murky atmosphere and great make up and special effects for its budget. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Half-hearted attempt at the Thing, I think? There were drug smugglers, and Russian scientists, and a snot gristle monster monster that came out of an air duct. Also, the annoying shouty guy lived way too long for my liking. Anyhow, that's just my estimation, I didn't pay that much attention the whole way through. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member 77% -Slimer- "No! We're not leaving here until its dead."-Alex (Craig Fairbass) The best line in the movie, I shit you not. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
