Rated: 2/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Mal Vincent The Virginian-Pilot Moll Flanders is an admirable effort but still a bit difficult to sit through. Rated: 3/4 Mar 2, 2022 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine The movie takes Moll's name, but mollifies her spirit. Mar 22, 2019 Full Review Jane Horwitz South Florida Sun-Sentinel The plot hinges on rather too much coincidence, and some lines of the British-accented dialogue garble on the soundtrack, but the film offers charming performances and a vivid sense of time, place and human dignity. alan g A decent story ruined by the presence of Morgan Freeloader. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Audience Member The tale is lengthy and hard to fit into a film - but young Wright does a solid job of telling the story of Moll who escapes prostitution to become a mother. The hardest part is watching Rizzo from Grease work as her pimp. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Frances H absolutely nothing like the Daniel Defoe classic and parts are not bad, but the rest is boring.
