Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Rated: 2/5 Jul 25, 2004 Full Review Susan Wloszczyna USA Today Fasten your seat belts, folks. It's going to be a cliche-cluttered ride. Tom S Technically this constitutes as a Christmas movie. Can't believe it has such a low rotten tomatoes score, watching Ray Liota play a psychopath is always great entertainment (Unlawful Entry another classic). Consider crowding the family around the TV and watching this for the holidays. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Munkhchimeg T Wow. Quite interesting. Couldn’t blink at all Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Tim S Its Christmas 1997 and due to the success of the Christmas Die Hard franchise that is not a Christmas Die Hard Franchise we need an actual Die Hard Christmas movie. "Turbulence" fulfils this criteria, a "Die hard" plot set at Christmas and once again with criminals being transported. However  unlike "Die Hard 2" most of the action takes place on board  the aircraft rather than in the airport.   Ryan Weaver ( Ray Liotta ) is a crazed killer being transported Christmas Eve from New York to Los Angeles. Weaver is not the only dangerous convict on the flight as Stubbs ( Brendan Gleeson ) is also being transported by federal agents. Along with a number of passengers, the agents, guards and criminals, settle into their seats for a long peaceful flight. As "Turbulence" enters the realm of predictability Liotta hams it up big style with a manic over the top performance worthy of any cartoon villain. Despite the standard plot and obvious plagiarism, "Turbulence" with its Christmas backdrop, excessive violence and some comedic outbursts from Liotta has much to be enjoyed.  This violent mash up of of Die Hard 2 and Airplane is nothing new but Liotta does manage to save "Turbulence"  from being a standard run of the mill disaster movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/24 Full Review Dan C Imagine the worst of every air disaster movie you have ever seen, including the spoofs. Throw them in a blender. Throw the blender under a steam roller. That would be better than this mess of a movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Steve D Put together from pieces of better films. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/01/22 Full Review Read all reviews
