05/20/2013 Goofy John Woo. Still has some great action and a great as always Chow Yun Fat. Otherwise so so in Woo standards. See more 05/09/2013 his two-hour pilot for the Canadian TV series is inspired by John Woo's 1991 Hong Kong film of the same title, but the story has been altered extensively. See more 09/20/2009 You would think that another collaboration with Chow Yun Fat and John Woo would end in success, but "Once A Thief" is far from that. The story is cliched and boring, to add to the horrible story you have a great lack of action. Sure there are a two, exactly two good shoot outs but thats it. Beware of 'Once A Thief" if you are thinking of seeing it!
