Cork B 3d Wesley Snipes is in top form as Blade, the Vampire killing machine. He has a Terminator sort of charm and lots of stylish kinetic energy. Unfortunately, time has taken a bit of a toll here ... CGI is a bit dated, the martial arts scenes go on a bit too long, especially at the end, and there really is no character development like later MCU origin stories excelled at. Still, the MCU owes a lot to this stylish action flick. See more Erin M @Mightymotes Jan 12 Great movie that is underrated as it defined the possibilities of the marvel hero genre!!! It paved the way for standalone stories which were what jump started the MCU and that’s what Disney needs to go back to….great characters and character development in a well written story! Stop with all the nostalgia baiting and cameos and gimmicks, multiverse nonsense and and slop stories and cgi formulaic garbage! Wesley Snipes is the Man!!! Kris Kristofferson and Stephen Dorff were well cast in this as well! Great soundtrack for music additionally and amazing fight choreography! However, all of those can be forgiven bc of the good performances and very entertaining action sequences. Wesley Snipes in particular is amazing as Blade. If you’re looking to turn your brain off and watch kickass action, this is definitely the film for that! Introducing a half human and half vampire was brilliant on the writers behalf. A hybrid that only hunts vampires to protect humans, very well worth watching. See more Jackson N. @Jackyoboy Dec 22 Pretty solid movie for when it was produced. A few things that its time period has nothing to do with is the lack of original story. Not a fan of the random lightning in the scene where the purebloods are getting their souls taken by Frost. The fake blood is at times very realistic, can’t tell if it is practical or CGI, but other times the blood looks like red Gatorade. The blood is inconsistent but one thing that isn’t is the CGI for when Blade kills a vampire with his blade, simply beautiful, you would think that this movie was made in the 21st century, if it wasn’t for the exploding bodies CGI. Still giving it the benefit of the doubt, definitely due for a reboot. See more Read all reviews
