Critics Consensus

Though Lillard is uncannily spot-on as Shaggy, Scooby Doo is a tired live-action update, filled with lame jokes.

Namrata Joshi Outlook Even its look is awfully cheesy and clunky, the SFX notwithstanding. Scooby Doo makes Stuart Little seem a Citizen Kane in comparison. Rated: 1/4 Jan 3, 2019 Full Review Nell Minow Common Sense Media Too scary for most kids, too dumb for most teens. Rated: 3/5 Dec 28, 2010 Full Review Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 10, 2003 Full Review Tina Kakadelis Beyond the Cinerama Dome The pitch-perfect casting of the members of Mystery Inc. is what makes Scooby-Doo compulsively rewatchable. The plot is serviceable, and most adults will be able to unmask the villain long before the Mystery Inc. team does, but that doesn’t matter. Jul 25, 2023 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz If you can accept a pixellated pooch, you'll be rewarded with an entertaining, un-taxing romp that will delight fans and enthrall youngsters. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 27, 2022 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast It's a compromised vision, to be sure, but this colorful and campy pseudo-parody of the classic Scooby-Doo cartoons still has plenty of fun in store for younger (and some older) audiences. Roberta G nice 2000's commedy, good mystery with a stupid resolution, the movie is really nice but then the final act starts and proceeds to ruin it, all the rest of the movie is perfectly on point Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Charlotte B Amazing movie but all daphne did was moan the entire movie Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Oliver F Hilarious - an incredible return to the franchise that will delight all fans of Scooby Doo Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Wendel L Direção: Ok Atuação: Bom Roteiro: Bom Caracterização: Bom Soundtrack: Ok Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Archie B yeah the cgi is bad but it was 2002 it was good for it's time. I liked the movie it was funny, had a great plot twist and a good watch. They did the perfect casting with all members of the scooby gang. I know scooby doo wasn't made with the best cgi but it did resemble a great dane which I liked alot they didn't making him a cartoon in the real world they mad him a realistic dog with cartoon abilities like the eyes going out the head or the running really fast on the spot before dashing off. I have no complaints. I do feel like people who compare it to Stewart Little is a bit ridiculous as Stewart little was a mouse in real life based from a book I'm pretty sure but with scooby doo coming from a cartoon he kept the things he did liked the stuff I talked about before with the eyes and how he runs I feel like if people move past it and just watchwd the movie they would enjoy it better than giving it a name and comparing it too a mouse based from a book when scooby doo came from a cartoon. Overall I really liked this film no matter what people say it's in my top 10 and the adult jokes in it were a good laugh just like the rest of the movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/05/24 Full Review Brandon G A fun film all around to watch. Great humor, memorable lines, a great cast. With a new spin on Scooby Doo I think they did great with this and the sequel. Absolutely underrated. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
