SGopal S Few of the movies are raw and intense on the theme of alluring adultery, {Eyes Wide Shut (1999) } the story or the plot depicts ordinary characters and immediately connects to we the middle class citizen's fantasies arising from our boredom. The women are vulnerable, beautiful, strong -- the men are exhausting, fucked, human. The movie beyond the obvious sexual and dysfunctional relationships seems to be a cautionary tale of human fallacies and how we can so easily become disenchanted with life. The antiseptic treatment of the film itself is creepy enough to realize what urban hell truly is and the fragility of the human psyche. I was just surfing through Tubi and found this movie on the list and just watched it, and just loved the movie. The flow was so smooth and characterization so well done. The interlocking between characters and incidents is so good. Direction, Photography was well done and top-class performance. Must Watch!! I don't recall which filmmaker first explored this type of non-linear drama that links up strangers, but it has been done FAR better before, and by now, it is gutless and hackneyed.
