John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Despite multiple onscreen timestamps, the film doesn't generate ticking-clock tension so much as it paints a picture of dead ends and foreordained poverty. Jun 19, 2017 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Sincere, sometimes brief performances - including those of John Leguizamo as a disabled veteran, and Julia Stiles as the bitter wife of Nelson's nemesis - lend necessary oomph to a narrative that can, at times, verge on sleepy. Jun 8, 2017 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Transcends any lingering trace of gimmickry with emotionally gripping results. Jun 8, 2017 Full Review Alex Arabian Film Inquiry Actor Victor Almanzar makes his screenwriting debut with the gritty, visceral, and sobering 11:55. Jul 17, 2017 Full Review Bob Strauss Los Angeles Daily News It's Almanzar's controlled portrayal of a man who's learned from past mistakes and recent trauma, though, that will really haunt you. AE M The movie's promotional copy spoils the ending, and once you know that, the protagonist's final actions aren't worth sitting through the film to see. The title might as well been 12:55 because after finally arriving, the antagonist does nothing. And the godfather character doesn't seem necessary as he refuses to do anything meaningful in the plot. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review Mike U John Leguizamo plays the only role worth watching. Bad acting, predictable script albeit with gaping holes leaves this movie behind. Nothing interesting happening here Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/21/23 Full Review AJOY K S What a beautiful screen play and natural acting of all actors. I was amazed to know that Victor was a Marine and had to go through a lot of things. The acting of Elizabeth Rodriguez was super and the way she acted in a barber shop that was super dope. Color grade and the music was fabulous. Thanks to Ben Snyder for making such a beautiful film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/29/22 Full Review Audience Member Masterful performance from the entire cast. The film embodied the essence of fighting the demons of a checkered past and trying to carve a better future. Masterful script and directing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie was terrible and the ending was stupid Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the slowest none climatic movie I have ever seen. Boring snooze fest! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
