01/09/2020 fascinating view on the political processes leading to dropping the bomb. Pity that the writers have a very prominent political slant and agenda, which casts doubt on the believability of the narrative. See more victor o 11/21/2012 An excellent telling of the creation of the atom bomb and its use in the Second World War. The scenes filmed from the Allies was well filmed and offered magnificent testimony something akin to Reds only not as boring. I absolutely loved the Japanese filmed scenes as to how rough it was from the Japanese government in attempting to end the war while being held practically hostage by their own military. In the end the nuclear bombs delivered what they promised, a quick end to the war. See more 02/21/2012 narrator is John Hurt, who adds a great grit to the story which is told in a very balanced manner... disturbing movie, especially when you consider that here were 3,000 Americans (of Japanese descent) in the city at the time of the blast...
