Peter G This comment concerns the film only since I have not read the book. Some I feel are a bit too hard on the film which, for me anyway, balances the combination of humor & the more serious moments effectively thanks to a fine cast whose performances compensate for some of the cliches & predictability in the script. More enjoyable than I was expecting & although nothing really special it remains a pleasant 90 minutes, IMO. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Outstanding cast...bizarre and distracting location choice for Connecticut...South Africa? Weak movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member If not for the cliches and terrible acting it could have been decent. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A middle-aged drama that just goes nowhere...which I should have expected having read the book it was based on...which also meandered and didn't really end up anywhere either. Not the worst way to spend a few hours I suppose. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A good movie, a good concept. kinda sad, but then uplifting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Two women who have suffered loss - one lost her son and another's husband left her for his pregnant mistress. The two women escape their lives by doing a house exchange for 2 months. Good cast. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
