Regina P About the same quality as the first film, maybe a tad bit lower. I really expected there to be some overlapping casting with the first movie as first as the perpetrators. However, there were none of the bad guys from the first film that I could recognize. So it makes it hard to call this a successful prequel, because how many times has the baton been passed before we reach the bad guys in the first film??? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/09/23 Full Review ryan s 3/5. Decent enough for a straight-to-DVD horror sequel, but nothing too special. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review kevin c The pseudo prequel to the first film basically follows the same formula that made the first one so good minus the recognizable stars. The most interesting part is the beginning where it is explained how the sleazy murder motel came to be. After that it's the same cat and mouse game as you'd expect. Still an entertaining flick, but not a prequel that was necessarily needed. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A slasher thriller films enthusiast here and this one is as good as the first one. Amazing! You've seen this before, and done much better. SKIP. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Kevin Carr 7M Pictures While this film is true to its predecessor, it does have a distinct direct-to-DVD feel to it. Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 5, 2009 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a better-than-expected direct-to-video sequel... Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 29, 2009 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze Impressively freaky, with creepy ambiance to spare. And with a roach motel kind of no checking out policy, at least not in this lifetime, the chiller also intimates a darkly humorous undercurrent about US culture's violence over sex preference. Jan 17, 2009 Full Review The Foywonder Dread Central Vacancy 2: The Final Cut is cheap, pointless, boring, and not scary in the slightest. Rated: 1/5 Nov 25, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews
