The characters are honest and true, the fight sequences are brutal and raw, while the central themes being delivered in the denouement pack a major emotional wallop. Go to Full Review

The MMA action is bone-jarring and brutal and you can feel each punch and kick. But at it’s core this is a brilliant and heartfelt character study brought to life by some strong acting and a rock solid script. Go to Full Review

Samuel H. @Samuelhaubner 2d The characters were really sad I wanted to see both brothers win See more Jonas F @Cocojojo 6d Great sentimental fight between the characters and forgiveness, a silent but violent one for Tom Brady's character but still a very touching one! A big plus for people who enjoy sports, fight and sentimental movies. See more Aryaman S @AryamanS Mar 3 One of the best movies of the 2010s and one of the greatest sports movies ever made in the history of cinema. Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton give exceptional performances! The score by Mark Isham is his best work. This is Gavin O'Connor's crowning achievement in his directorial filmography, and he also wrote one heck of a script! See more Owen J @owenjacobson28 Feb 23 This is the greatest sports movie I have ever watched, I don’t usually feel things when I watch movies but this one made me very emotional. See more Romas M @Romas Feb 22 Greetings from Lithuania. "Warrior" (2011) is a great sports drama that reminded me of "Rocky". On its own, it is that good. It features thee spectacular performances by Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy. All three are amazing in this movie. "Warrior" is formulaic but these sport movies are all like one more or less. "Warrior" steps out of the crown and is in pantheon of greats like "Rocky". What makes it work are characters and story. This time around the broken family dynamic is at the emotional center of "Warrior". We do get to root for basically two heroes of this movie, brothers who get to fight for their own reasons, but both were broken by an former alcoholic father. Overall, "Warrior" is a great sports movie about fighters, brothers, family and dedication. It's about redemption as well. It is a highly rewatchable movie that i always love to return to. Great movie. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Feb 16 Warrior is a gripping, emotionally charged fighting film that balances intense physical combat with deep family drama. Tom Hardy delivers a raw, powerful performance, portraying a man driven by pain and unresolved trauma, while Joel Edgerton brings vulnerability and depth to his role, grounding the story with humanity. Director Gavin O’Connor orchestrates authentic fight scenes and a well-structured narrative, making each match feel emotionally significant. The screenplay expertly blends grit with heart, showing that the real battles are emotional, not just physical. The cinematography, score, and pacing heighten tension and emotion throughout. Warrior is a compelling, well-acted drama that is thrilling, heartfelt, and highly recommended for anyone seeking a story of resilience, family, and redemption. See more Read all reviews
