Another delightful exploration of well-chosen subject matter that's more richly fascinating than you might first expect. Go to Full Review

A playfully informative look at various types of fleshy fungi and the folks who avidly consume them. Go to Full Review

As with all of Mann's films, his enthusiasm is infectious. He comes to praise mushrooms, not to bury them, and long may his frying pan sizzle. Go to Full Review

Its fun to be completely absorbed in a subculture like this, and Lincoff, Evans and co. make no apologies for relishing every minute of it. Go to Full Review

12/03/2011 I got through it but wouldnt recommend it. I don't really feel I came away from the movie learning much. I especially found the multiple choice quizzes throughout the film annoying. There were a few interesting interviews but I feel the movie could have been cut down to about 30 minutes. See more 10/07/2011 Sorta informative...sorta borring. See more 05/07/2011 A very informative, fun and well put together documentary on mushrooms but I don't like a lot of how it's composed as it comes across way too hipster, which I'm sure a lot of people enjoy. Just I myself didn't as much probably because I'm not a hippie. It's still very much worth watching just for some of the amazing mushrooms facts. See more 04/10/2011 I really enjoyed this short doc. Although I can't think of anyone I'd recommend it to. :) See more 12/21/2010 The way it starts off you'd swear this documentary was going to be all about psychedelic mushrooms & throughout that maybe you should have eaten a few. It does touch on them but it's a mix of all kinds of shrooms & some people that it has become their obsession & philosophy. I sorta found this doc to be a bit padded & not very informative. I have a poster of edible mushrooms on my kitchen wall & you can get more information off of it then Know Your Mushrooms. Ron Mann has made much better documentaries in Grass & Comic Book Confidential & found him often lazy or stoned (who knows what you get into w/ a project like this). Even his choice of retro industrial film isn't all that interesting & Im usually a sucker for that kind of shit See more 10/06/2010 You have to see this to believe it... Totally worth an hour of your life See more Read all reviews
