A beautiful well crafted multitude of different animations told with a variety of many stories that will leave you sad, happy and hyped!. My favorite episode if 1337 which was done by the people who do dragonball.

Sorry. This didn't work for me. Maybe it stems from the fact that most of my Halo knowledge comes from reading Wikipedia articles since I'm a PlayStation person or maybe it's some of the anime tropes that bug me, even if it's only the aptly-named non-canon segment that behaves the most like a stereotypical anime but The Animatrix, this is not. Don't get me wrong, there were some good segments with really good action, the world-building is guaranteed to tickle fanboys' fancy and I do commend "The Duel" for its unusual art style. But the English voice-acting is stilted, the animation is stiff outside of fight scenes - though that just seems to be an anime thing in general - , some of the characters are absolutely unlikable and Halo newbies are not welcome here. At least this anthology knows its audience. I didn't want to dislike Halo Legends and even did the necessary research to understand this universe but I thought that this was one of the weaker entries in the anthology subgenre of anime that also includes Animatrix and Gotham Knight. Too bad, Master Chief :(

This is how you deliver to both long time fans and returning fans of the franchise. This needs to be remastered in some way or form in the near future nearing "Halo Infinte's" release.

It's many shorts about the halo verse, not typical movie format but it gets the job done. Some of these shorts were kinda meh tough!
