Audience Member Originally Starting As A Drama, Then Building Into A Lycanthropic Nightmare, 13Hrs Is An Enjoyable And Decently Made Brit Horror, From The Producers Of Dog Soldiers. 13Hrs Is A Fast-Paced Run Of The Mill Werewolf Type Film. This One Concerns A Group Of Friends Stranded In A Big Country House, Where One Night They Are Attacked By An Unknown Beast During The Full Moon. 13Hrs Boasts A Talented Cast Of Young Brits Including, Isabella Calthorpe (How To Lose Friends & Alienate People), Joshua Bowman (Holby City), Gemma Atkinson (Hollyoaks, Casualty) & Tom Felton (Harry Potter). The Plot However Obvious, Moronic And Overdone, The Script Is Decent And Gives The Actors Some Decent Material To Work With. The Atmosphere However Wasn't Present, And Some Scenes Were Just A Bit To Dark, Making It Difficult To See At Some Points. All In However We Have Your Run Of The Mill Werewolf Flick, Which Manages To Be Entertaining And Is Pretty Well Made. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A very familiar situation for this situational horror with characters we've pretty much been seeing the same of in this genre for the past 20 years. The actual evil being looks good though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Nothing that makes you scares, and not that good looking creatures either. Not worth another look.. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Dodgy acting, random cast, flimsy storyline, and they don't let you see the deaths, which is always fucking pointless in a horror. A big pile of steaming werewolf shit. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member not an usual warewolf movie but abit too boring Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent enough British horror movie to lose yourself in for 90 minutes. 13hrs has Isabella Calthorpe return home from America where she is met my snarky half brothers and a jealous best friend. Everything goes pear-shaped when a killer animal shows up. The film has a lot of drama and tension, even if sometimes the performances don't quite match the material. The idea of setting up complex relationships involving arguing parents, downtrodden siblings, and being left to live in a small rural town, add to the intensity later on. Unfortunately the horror scenes are anything but terrifying. The action is so hastily and poorly edited it becomes difficult to know what is going on. Rather than embracing the effects work, the camera angles, shot composition, and edits seem as though the film is ashamed of what they have produced. As such we never get a real look at the beast, which just means that all the secrecy is unwarranted. Interesting at times, and makes good use of its set, turning an attic into a maze. It was also nice to see characters working past their conflicts and trying to think about some actual plans that may work. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
