Audience Member Pretentious, in the worst kind of way; it thinks it has something to say, when really it's laughable retarded, makes no sense, has one of the most shallow main characters I have ever seen, spews lots of spiritual mumbo jumbo that they try to tie in with the cooking but fail majorly at it, the actors barely have a presence save for Michael Ironside, who has the best character in the movie, and the least screentime. This movie just insulted me because it was trying to be spiritual, it failed. It wanted to be a sweeping romance, it failed. It wanted to be a movie about how food can improve your life, it failed. It failed, it failed, it failed, but it will beat you absolute senseless making it's various points, that I just laughed at and I really wanted to kill the main character soo bad!
