matthias s "41" offers a fantastic concept, a wormhole hidden beneath a motel room that leads to the past. It's an idea that sparks imagination, but the execution falls somewhat short. The storyline feels thin, leaving you craving more depth and exploration of the time-traveling possibilities. In fact, this might have made for a great short film, focusing solely on the captivating central idea. The subplot involving the cops tracking down the protagonist feels somewhat forced and distracts from the core narrative. The film's production quality often reminds you of a high school project, with occasional rough edges. Nonetheless, "41" manages to be an enjoyable little sci-fi flick. While it's predictable, the charming main character and a good soundtrack contribute to its watchability. It's a modest cinematic effort with room for improvement, yet it showcases the potential of its unique premise. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review john h I've no idea why Amazon Prime suggested this too me, but I'm glad they did. A heartwarming tale that dives deeply into what is important in life. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie was just enough unsettling to keep my attention and was creative enough to not appear as another time travel ripoff. In addition, the music score was spot on. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Daniel W 41 is objectively not a very good movie: stereotypical plot, clunky dialogue, low-budget cinematography, etc. However, it's made watchable by enthusiastic and warmhearted direction and performances, plus a helpful dose of self-depreciating humor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/21 Full Review Audience Member Very slow start. I barely made it past the narrator at beginning. Ends up very intriguing and best if seen with friends that like to discuss, What if. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're a fan of time-travel mind-benders such as Primer, Triangle, and Predestination, you will adore this film. Multiple timelines and paradoxes comprise a plot you might need a diagram to understand, but it's so worth it. It's one of those movies that makes you say, "I want to watch it again" the minute it's over. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
